Improved technology enables Lengard to reduce administration and the duplication in process that often results from paper-based communication systems.
Everyone within Lengard has access to email and the Lengard server. In this way, the site and professional teams have access to project information at all times. All personnel are trained in the use of software packages applicable to their post. All Lengard project management staff have been allocated wireless 3G Blackberry devices enabling real time responsiveness to e mails, telephone calls and telephone texts from professional teams, clients, suppliers and colleagues.
All systems are fully networked including Wide Area Networking to site offices. We are used to working with clients that have collaborative systems (such as Autodesk Buzzsaw) and have the skills and resources to ensure a smooth integration. The system is maintained by fully qualified Microsoft engineers and Lengard’s IT resource is a Microsoft Certified Partner.
For paperless estimating, we use Causeway technology that enables files to be electronically transmitted to Clients who run CITE. We adopted this system for its ease of use, flexibility and because of the reduced paper consumption.
We are currently using Autodesk’s ‘Buzzsaw’ software on a project for a London local authority. The system utilises a virtual server and provides a hub, allowing several parties to access the project files. So far, results have been good and the system has proved beneficial.
Lengard utilise e-Contrack, a web-enabled software package that can be used for performance measurement and benchmarking; in addition e-Contrack provide a mobile web based tool that can be harnessed through mobile handsets or PDAs with web access.

Benchmarking
Lengard have engaged eContrack benchmarking software. eContrack Benchmark Online is a web based benchmarking and performance management system, which provides all the tools necessary to create and manage a shared performance measurement database.
This software allows Lengard to compare performance with Industry (using the Construction Industry Headline & Sector KPIs)
