We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the London LABC Building Excellence Awards 2018 in the Best Public Service Building Category.
The Welcome Centre features a Glulam timber frame to reflect vernacular farm Cruik buildings, with cedar shingled roof, and referencing the ancient settlement.
This new building features the Moat Cafe, the visitor centre and the museum’s gift shop.
The Welcome Centre is an integral part of the wider scheme at the Headstone Museum, comprising the grade 1 Manor House, the Great Tithe Barn, the Small Barn and the Granary Building, all on an ancient monument site.
The awards ceremony will be held on the 11th May at The Guildhall.
