Description: Residential Heritage Restoration of a Listed Building
The Wellcome Trust appointed Lengard as the main contractor to undertake refurbishment and re-modelling of a private residential five-storey dwelling at 23 Onslow Gardens. Detailed finishings included intricate fibrous plasterworks, stucco, restoration of mahogany doors, sashes and shutters and polished hardwood floors.
Lengard carried out major structural alterations in this Grade II listed residential terraced property to convert it back into single family use. A new basement was excavated and a new retaining wall was built within the communal garden area.
The team managed to maintain excellent relations with neighbours by regular letter drops with information throughout the project. Noise and disruption to neighbours were restricted to set hours to avoid undue disturbance.
Onslow Gardens was recognised as a professionally managed site implementing Considerate Construction Scheme (CCS) Code of Practice to high standard.
