Project Description
Lengard were delighted to build a new pavilion and café in Victoria Park, Hackney, in a design and build contract reflecting the Victorian origins of the park.
The new facilities provide more seating as well as disabled toilet facilities.
As so often happens, the ground works were not straight forward. Apart from diverting the area power supply cable, Lengard discovered a Black Death burial pit!
The solution was vibro-piling to consolidate the ground and support the 12-sided structure.
