CONSTRUCTION WASTE – In the pursuit of achieving carbon neutrality, Lengard worked closely with Waste Recycling Action Plan (WRAP) in promoting sustainable construction materials with a recycled content. Lengard is recognised by BRE’s SMARTWaste scheme and we achieve top quartile in our waste recycling ratios across our refurbishment and new build projects.

BREEAM – 6 projects are due for completion this year which are rated as Very Good or Excellent. Our flagship project at Eveline Lowe School achieved BREEAM Excellent.

We are working with BRE Global and Cambridge City Council to create a BREEAM in Refurbishment standard.

CODE FOR SUSTAINABLE HOMES – We created new affordable housing units within unused office space at our Pudding Lane project in Maidstone, which achieved Code 4.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES – We designed and built a new Childrens Centre at Pett’s Hill School, which achieved EPC A Rating.

REDUCING CO2 EMISSIONS – We are proud to have been involved at St Augustines Road, a project sponsored by LB Camden and Kingspan, which is continually monitored by the UCL. It won the Low Energy Upgraded Social Housing Project of the Year in 2009. Further details about the project can be found at on the UCL website.
